Tehran announces reaching a clear text and agreement on all differences in Vienna talks

Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei announced that a clear text had been reached in the Vienna talks on the nuclear agreement between his country and major powers, pointing to an agreement on almost all the basic differences.

“The negotiations are taking place by a decision of the country’s higher institutions,” Rabiei said in his weekly press conference today, stressing that the decision to reach an agreement has nothing to do with the outcome of the Iranian elections.

“The next stage of the Vienna talks may be the last, and the draft agreement requires a political decision by all parties,” Rabiei added, noting that “we are waiting for the American political decision only.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday confirmed that Iran will not return to its commitments to the nuclear agreement unless all embargo measures are canceled and verified, in addition to ensuring that the United States does not withdraw from the agreement in the future after its return to it.

In another context, Rabiei condemned the statements of the US State Department regarding the Iranian elections, stressing that they constitute interference in Iran’s internal affairs and a violation of international laws.

“The US government is not in a position to comment on the election process in Iran,” Rabiei said.

The final results of the presidential elections that took place in Iran showed Ibrahim Raisi winning with 61.95 percent of the vote.
