On Apr.30, 2023, the International “Technotex-2023” Exhibition for Technology and its Services kicked off at the New Fairgrounds in Damascus with the participation of  45 local and foreign companies specialized in services, entertainment and industrial electronics, protection systems, information security and electronic payment.

Syria Times e-newspaper interviewed several participants in the activity that lasted until the 3rd of May.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of “Entrepreneurship Makers’ Foundation Mrs. Reem Hamdan told us: “We display  8 smart ideas as part of our participation in this event. The ideas are highlighted through 19 participants, who were incubated by the Foundation which constitutes a gateway and platform for the owners of smart ideas, and it works with them to improve the ideas and the personality of each person who has a smart idea or project.”

She added that the exhibition is  an opportunity to bring together projects’ owners and those who are responsible at the Ministry of Communications to know with whom they must network to license them.

The foundation was established 13 months ago as a result of the efforts of a group of national expertise, who are aspiring to build a capable, entrepreneurial society committed to societal values and goals.

Mrs. Sidra Mirkhan, one of the owners of projects in the Foundation, said: “The exhibition is an important opportunity to give an idea to those who are  interested in our projects to adopt them and launch them in the market… My team is composed of 5 students who completed the project of teaching programming to children through cards that represent program codes by photographing the application.”

She indicated that the project aims to help children avoid the dangers of mobile screens and invest time in teaching useful things.

Mrs.Jessica Al-Maari, sales officer at the “ Rightware” company, told us about the company’s various services, such as software solutions, mobile applications, websites, digital marketing, managing social media pages with all professional designs, photo sessions and product presentations of all kinds to show the work in the best way, and these services are provided by well-experienced Technologists.

“Since its foundation in 2019, the company has been keen on providing its services with high quality and competitive prices in comparison with companies operating in the same field,” Mrs. Al-Maari said.

She referred to the importance of participation in specialized exhibitions within its field to enhance its presence in the market and to make visitors familiars with its various services as well as to network and cooperate with the participating companies in the exhibition.

The importance of a such event lies in the fact that it  keeps pace with the digital transformation strategy implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Technology in cooperation with the concerned authorities.
