DAMASCUS, (ST) – The Director of the Investment Authority (IA) Dr. Inas Al -Umawi said in a statement to local press that the Authority will participate in the Damascus International Fair, where the Authority will work through this participation to provide all services and information on the investment environment and investment map in Syria, which was prepared in cooperation with all concerned bodies and with the participation of various sectors in all Syrian governorates and which was recently presented at the first Syrian Investment Forum, and sponsored by the Prime Minister.
Mrs. Al-Umawi explained that the Authority will allocate in its pavilion a technical cadre specialized to meet the demands of investors and businessmen, and brochures have been prepared including investment incentives (administrative – legal – simplifying procedures).
She referred to the completion of the translation of the investment opportunities presented at the first investment forum, indicating that the re-launch of the Damascus International Fair after six- year stop constitutes an opportunity for the Investment Authority to be translated into the implementation of its promotional programs aimed at meeting businessmen, investors and foreign companies who visit the exhibition to attract and encourage them to invest, especially through the investment opportunities that the Authority has recently worked on development according to the priorities of the country.
Mrs. al- Umawi pointed out that the importance of participation in the Damascus International Fair stems from being the oldest and most important fairs of the Middle East. It is the meeting of continents and the exchange of knowledge and trade between East and West and the meeting of all economic events, especially with the participation of more than 27 countries this year
She stressed that Syria will rise again and will continue the wheel of production despite obstacles and at all levels and investment in the next phase will be the first and main carrier and the gate of this productive renaissance.
