Tartous__ Symposium entitled :The Importance of National Unity in Facing Terrorism

Symposium, The Importance of National Unity in Facing Terrorism, held by Engineers Association Branch in Tartous, focused on national unity role in the struggle  against terrorism and how to face it. In addition to the necessity of cooperation between all Syrian people constituents.

The writer Ghassan Wannous, Arab Writers Union chief deputy, indicated that Syria’ people and resistance line fast response to face the wildest attack ever with the participation of regional and international powers; shows a great national unity power between its citizen.

He pointed out to” the large similarity between Zionism Movements and Wahhabi One” particularly their actions of repulsive killings, plundering and usurpation with attempts for domination and expansion, which are all acts done by armed terroristic  groups, confirming that  terrorism confrontation demands  great deal of awareness volition, patience and energy; in addition to education.

On his part, the researcher Dr.Ahmad Omran zawi,  pointed out to the Syrian national unity distinguished since the doom of history, illustrating Christian and Islamic relationships  dating back to thirteen centuries ago. When foreign expeditions had successively tried to take hold of the country, but together Christians and Muslims confronted them. In the same way, they fought when the Arabic Language was exposed abandonment, in favor of the Latin letter use. Zawi affirmed that the union between Christian and  Islamic  religions will never detach, but will remain forever ,just as in the Bible and Koran.

Some of the distinct attendees were: Nizar Ismael, Tartous governor; Mousa Asaad, Branch Secretary of the Socialist Arab Baath Party; in addition to official and religious activities and interested crowd.
