DAR Al Salaam (ST) _Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Hussam Eddine Ala discussed on Sunday with Tanzania Foreign Minister Bernard Membe bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common concern.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates talked about the situation in Syria and the armed terrorist groups attacks against civilians and the infrastructure of the Syrian State at the support of countries from inside and outside the region ,by facilitating the smuggling terrorists to Syria across the border and providing them with all forms of material , human , political and media support to cover up their crimes.
He also presented the political program to resolve the crisis in Syria and efforts by the Syrian government to find a solution to the crisis based on a national dialogue led by Syria and between the Syrians to materialize this program through contacts with both internal and external opposition interested in dialogue and rejecting any foreign interference in the internal affairs of Syria .
Minister Membe expressed his country ‘s understanding of the Syrian government ‘s position in the fight against terrorism , stressing that his country’s support to Syria in the fight against terrorism stems from its commitment to the principles of the UN Charter and international law. He also stressed Tanzania ‘s rejection of attempts by certain sides in international forums against Syria.
The two sides agreed to continue communication and coordination between the two countries.
