Talks to reconstitute the Syrian-Brazilian Businessmen Council

Damascus (ST): Re-formation and activation of the Syrian-Brazilian Businessmen Council and encouraging businessmen in the two countries to establish investment and trade partnerships and increase the volume of trade exchange were the most important axes of the meeting of the President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Mohammad Abu Al-Huda Al-Lahham with the Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus Fabio Vaz Petaluka at the headquarters of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce.

 

Al-Lahham called on Brazilian companies to contribute to the reconstruction process of Syria and to benefit from the facilities of Investment Law No. 18 of 2021 for foreign investors, referring to the need for Syrian and Brazilian companies to participate in the exhibitions held in the two countries, underlining the role of the large Syrian community in Brazil in activating and expanding trade exchanges between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Petaluka stressed the importance of reactivating the Syrian-Brazilian Businessmen Council, which was effective before 2010, and the value of trade exchanges between the two countries at that time reached very large sums, calling on Syrian companies to participate in the São Paulo Food Fair scheduled be held in the coming period, which is one of the most important exhibitions of  food materials.
