DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Syrian Talaqi TV channel has won Guinness certificate for the longest TV talk show, which lasted 70 hours and five minutes of the live broadcast.
The program, titled “From Syria with love” was presented by two anchors Arej Zayyat and Rein al-Melai and directed by al-Humam al-Bahloul. It began at nine o’clock of November 18 through 21.
“We dedicate this achievement to the brave men of the Syrian army, protectors of the homeland and security and stability of Syria, and through them to all Syrians,” said Talaqi TV director Maher Kholi, in a statement to SANA.
Kholi added that “despite the harsh conditions experienced by Syria, the Syrians opted to convey a message of love to the world, entitled “from Syria with love “, indicating that it is a message of love to the world that the Syrians as their history and civilization, are existed to stay.
For his part, director al- Bahloul said that this achievement has contributed to raising Syria’s name high in the Guinness Book, which is authenticated by all countries of the world, after “we produced the television talk show in the world.”
“I dedicate this success to the heroes of the Syrian army protectors of the homeland, and to all Syrians,” al-Bahloul emphasized.
It is noteworthy that the program hosted, during the 70 hours and five minutes of live broadcasting more than one hundred Syrian figures on different topics including politics, economy, literature, art, fashion, with a break for just five minutes for every broadcast hour, with an audience of ten people inside the studio for the whole broadcast time .
This is, however, the first experience in the Arab world and the third in the world, with a record of 52-hour live broadcast in Ukraine in 2011, broke by an announcer from Nepal in 2014, scoring about 62-hour live broadcast.
