Tajikistan President’s Special Envoy : We seek to upgrade relations with Syria

Damascus – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad on Wednesday received Tajikistan President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East Zubaidullo Zubaidzoda.

Mikdad presented Zubaidzoda a detailed political and field review on the latest development to the crisis in Syria, thanking Tajikistan’s leadership and people for their standing by Syria in its war against terrorism, SANA reported.

 

Mikdad affirmed the importance of upgrading bilateral relations between the Syria and Tajikistan in various fields through activating the joint agreements and others practical measures that the two sides can consider to achieve this objective.

Mikdad stressed that the steadfast Syrian people, who made the highest sacrifices and stood in the face of the most harsh forms of siege and economic pressure imposed by the USA and other Western countries in a coercive and unilateral manner will not allow those who fought Syria with various means to achieve via politics and siege what they have failed to achieve on the ground.

For his part, Zubaidzoda said that his visit to Syria comes to affirm the importance of Syrian- Tajikistani relations and upgrade them.

He paid a tribute to the Syrian people for their great victory and achievements against terrorism.
