TASHKENT, Nov.15, (ST)- Minister of Education, Darem Tabbaa, has that early childhood care is still a priority for the government’s work upon President Bashar Al-Assad’s directives despite the terrorist war that was waged on Syria, the unjust economic blockade, and Corona pandemic.
Addressing the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education, being held in Tashkent, Tabbaa clarified that the Syrian government has worked and with great attention from Mrs. Asma Al-Assad, to support early childhood care and education as part of its educational and social programs in cooperation with a number of organizations such as UNESCO, UNICEF, and Aga Khan Network, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The minister also spoke about the coordination the efforts of all agencies and sectors concerned with early childhood development, and the allocation of the necessary resources for that, referring to a number of proposals for regional and international cooperation in the field of early childhood, including taking care of vulnerable groups of children in remote and poor areas and displaced children, and strengthening all available educational means to provide Care and education for them, through platforms for learning at home, and the development of programs to prepare them for the first grade for a year before school.
The World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education 2022, organized by UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) started on Monday and will last until Nov. 16.
