Tabbaa discusses with his Russian counterpart cooperation in the development of educational sector

n October 27th,the  Minister of Education Dr. Daren Tabbaa discussed with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Kravtsov, possibilities of cooperation between the two sides in rebuilding and developing educational complexes and opening centers specialized in psychological support for students and their families.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the visit of a Syrian delegation headed by Minister Tabaa to Moscow, in which he affirmed the Syrian government’s interest in continuing education despite the war and the Corona pandemic, in parallel with continuing to rebuild schools.

 

Minister Kravtsov expressed his country’s interest in supporting the educational process in Syria, providing assistance in rebuilding educational complexes, modernizing their infrastructure, and contributing to the establishment of centers specialized in psychological support for students and their families to treat them from the effects of the war.

Kravtsov expressed his appreciation for Syria, its civilizational history, and its important role in the Middle East and the world.

The meeting was attended by the Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Riad Haddad, and the Russian Deputy Minister of Education, Alexander Bogayev.

On October 26th, the Syrian delegation participated in the opening of the seventh annual Moscow International Forum for Peace and Religion under the slogan “Religious and Cultural Dialogue in the Contemporary World Space.”
