Syria,Turkey to enhance cooperation in the field of economy

Chairman of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, Musab Badawi met with a Turkish delegation that included the Syrian coordinator in the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (Tika) Bilal Ozdan, and representatives of a group of Turkish charitable and development societies.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in various developmental and humanitarian fields.

The meeting also dealt with enhancing strategic cooperation in the fields of education, health, tourism, culture, agriculture and livestock, and administrative and technical development.

Badawi stressed the need to benefit from Turkish experiences in various fields, especially developmental and economic ones, pointing to the importance of the support provided by Turkey to the Syrian people despite the complex international circumstances.

In turn, Ozdan pointed to the necessity of generalizing the experience of joint action in all Syrian governorates, and restoring archaeological and historical buildings in a way that contributes to promoting tourism and preserving cultural heritage in Syria.

For his part, Head and coordinator of a group of Turkish charitable and development societies Hamid Kant stressed the necessity of expanding development projects between Syria and Turkey, which reflects the strong relationship between the two peoples, and in a way that contributes to rebuilding the Syrian economy and society.
