Syria’s youth football team reaches the semi-finals of the Arab Nations Championship

Riyadh, ST) – The Syrian youth football team qualified for the semi-finals of the U-19 Arab Nations Championship for West Asia, held in Saudi Arabia, after defeating its Bahraini counterpart yesterday 3-1 in the third and final round of the group stage.

The Syrian team qualified for the semi-finals at the end of the group stage by finishing as the best second-place team in the three groups in the tournament, where the first-place team from each group qualifies in addition to the best second-place team.

The Syrian team lost to its Emirati counterpart by three goals to nothing in the second round and defeated its Palestinian counterpart in the second round 4-2.
