Syria’s minister of oil in Algiers for talks on enhancing energy cooperation

Algeria, (ST) – The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Firas Kaddour started a two-day working visit to the Algerian capital at the invitation of the Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab.

Dr. Kaddour was received at Houari Boumediene International Airport by Minister Arkab and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Algiers Muhammad Al-Ghazzawi.

During this visit, Dr. Kaddour and the accompanying delegation will meet officials in charge of the Sonatrach and Sonelgaz energy complexes and the Algerian mines and will visit some energy facilities.

This visit comes within the framework of discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil research and exploration, and in the field of gas, mines and oil products. It also comes within the framework of enhancing relations in the field of producing, tranferring and distributing electricity, and exchanging of experiences.
