Syria’s junior team beat its Palestinian counterpart in the West Asian Championship

On June 22nd, the Syrian national junior football team inaugurated its participation in the West Asian Championship, with an important victory over the Palestinian team with two goals to one, in the match that brought them together at the Aqaba Stadium, in Jordan.

The Syrian team will meet in its second match in the tournament in the second group with Lebanon next Friday, to face its Kuwaiti counterpart next Sunday.

According to the tournament system, the first and second of the two groups of the tournament qualify for the semi-finals, and the two qualifiers will play the final match on June 30th.
