Syrians will vote for national unity, security and stability

Rejoicing over a series of landslide victories realized by the Syrian Arab army against the armed terrorist groups in various parts of the country, the Syrian people of all political and social spectrums are preparing for landmark presidential elections set for June 3. Syrians alone will decide who will be their leader during the next stage, regardless of all the obstacles some western parties may try to throw in their ways, especially the US, France and their regional and Arab tools. The states that are trying to hinder Syrian presidential elections are the same voices that support takfiri terrorism in Syria. The US, western and regional statements regarding elections in Syria are part of the psychological war against Syrian people who have proved that they have strong will and determination to prevent any interference in their independent decision and sovereignty.

The countries supporting terrorism in Syria are facing a real crisis on the political level and on the ground due to the steadfastness, unity and national cohesion of Syrians in the face of terrorism. The French and German governments’ decision to prevent Syrian expatriates from casting their votes in the Syrian embassies shows their true face which contradicts the values of the French people, constituting open support for takfiri terrorist groups in Syria. This decision is a French German concern, and the Syrian community will find other ways to vote via Syrian political establishments and practise their constitutional right which has been guaranteed by international laws and UN charter. Liberty and democracy are mere illusions in France and Germany where human rights and democracy are a mere propaganda employed to achieve certain economic and political interests that serve their colonialist projects in the region.

Participation in the upcoming presidential elections is right and duty of each citizen. Syria lives this constitutional process in parallel with great military achievements represented by eliminating terrorist gatherings in various parts of the country. Syria through this constitutional process will elect its future and will vote through ballot boxes for the national unity, security and stability. Through casting their votes, Syrian people will press ahead with their struggle against the terrorist fierce war that targets all state constituencies and the resistant and pan- Arab role it plays.

The ballot boxes would be the arbitrator for the Syrians’ will through which they would express their option in electing their candidate away from foreign intervention.

Syria has paid a precious price of its citizens’ blood during the current crisis to preserve purity of its land and superiority of its morals. The Syrian people will determine who will be the President of Syria, not those who live in five star hotels abroad and wait for the orders of their masters.

The Syrian people have never been intimidated as they are confident in victory over the conspiracy to which the country is exposed. Holding presidential elections on time proves that Syrian people have overcome the international terrorist plot against their country. Holding the elections on time is a confirmation that the Syrians are resolved to pick their representatives with utmost freedom away from foreign meddling. Everyone should participate in the event to prevent Syria’s enemies from spreading their takfiri and terrorist mentality.

The Syrians are the only side to determine who to be the president and who is able to defend the country against all challenges and enemies. Presidential election is a Syrian internal affair during which the Syrians confirm through voting their independent decision and draw the future of their homeland by themselves far from all foreign threats and pressures. The Syrian people are living a historic moment to elect the person to represent their ambitions and aspirations. Practicing the electoral right is a national task that needs rationality and wisdom. Holding the elections on time indicates the strength of the Syrian state and its ability to confront all external challenges.

The upcoming presidential election is the reaction of the Syrian people towards the plot, and the destiny of Syria and the region will be determined through these elections.
