ANKARA, (ST) _Deputy Chairman of the Workers(Turkey) Party,Bulent Esinoglu, sees that the peoples of Syria and Turkey are confronting a common enemy that seeks to have hegemony over the two countries.
In an article published on the Turkish website Ulusal Bakis on Saturday, Esinoglu said: “the Syrians are confronting a west-backed terrorism while the Turks are confronting the government of the Justice and Development Party (AKP)which is also supported by the west and which was formed as part of the Greater Middle East project.”
He asserted that terrorist groups are fighting Syria and its people using weapons of the west that has basis in Turkey and prepares to deploy the Patriot missiles on its boarders.
The Turkish official clarified that the west is arming terrorist groups in Syria, and deploying its weapons in Turkey through the AKP government to take control of the two countries.
“The west, which has failed to notch up its goals in Syria thanks to the Syrian people’s steadfastness, has adopted different methods through gathering the terrorist groups that identify themselves as ‘opposition’ and giving them an identity, weapons, and money via Turkey,” said Esinoglu.
He criticized the AKP government’s media that legitimizes the support being offered by the co-chairmanship of the Greater Middle East project, and fabricates reports on Syria.
