Syrians, stranded abroad, are allowed to enter the country via border outlets with Lebanon within 18 hours after PCR test

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The government team tasked with following up the strategy of combating coronavirus pandemic decided to amend the conditions for entry to the country pursuant to the adopted anti-coronavirus precautionary measures.

During a meeting on Saturday, the team decided to allow the Syrian citizens, stranded abroad because of coronavirus, to enter the country via the legal border outlets with Lebanon within 18 hours after conducting their PCR test at the accredited Lebanese hospitals.

 The returnees will be subjected to house quarantine for five days and those who test positive for coronavirus are to be taken to isolation centers.

 During the meeting, Health Minister Nizar Yazigi briefed members of the team on the situation of coronavirus infections in Syria and on the ministry’s efforts to provide necessary health services to patients.
