BRUSSELS, (ST)_ The Syrian community in Italy called on European parliamentarians to put pressure on their governments and the European Parliament, to stop European countries support for terrorist organizations in Syria.
This was expressed during meetings held by representatives of the Syrian community with several European Parliamentarians in Brussels, attended by members of the European front in defense of Syria, during which they displayed facts about the fierce war, Syria has been exposed to , backed by Western and regional countries and the destruction of Syrian heritage and highlighted the negative effects of the economic blockade imposed on the Syrian people.
Representatives of the Syrian community stressed the need to protect the Syrian unique heritag ,registered in the World Heritage List from destruction caused by terrorist organizations supported by the US, Western and regional including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, stressing the importance of restoring diplomatic relations with Syria.
Member of the European Parliament and Vice-President of the French National Front party, Maria Christina Arnaoto expressed desire to visit Syria.
Chairman of the Syrian community Jamal Abu Abbas and other representatives met with Belgian Parliamentarian Flamingo Grolv Annamitis ,two European Parliament members Ludovic de Dan and Edward Vearer, and members of the Greek Bright Dawn party, who voiced solidarity with Syria against the terrorist war, and support for convening a conference in the European Parliament about the conspiracy against Syria and its consequences on the world , as well as their contribution to preparations for this conference with Syrian Community Association.
Earlier, the Syrian community in Italy and the Italian Solid Organization held a conference and a photograph exhibition in Brussels , which shed light on the crimes committed by terrorists, backed by Western countries against the Syrian people and civilization and the systematic destruction of archaeological sites, churches and mosques.
