Syrians in Czech Republic Denounce Western Silence on Turkey Violations of UNSC Resolutions

PRAGUE, (ST)_ The Syrian community in the Czech Republic condemned the dirty practices carried out by the Turkish government in the Syrian territory, by providing logistical aid and direct military support for terrorist organizations, especially, in the recent attacks against Idleb and Jesr al-Shoughour cities.

In a statement issued yesterday, the community stressed that these practices are taking place under the eyes of NATO and Western countries, that not only in violation of Syria’s sovereignty and the principles of international law, but contrary to all UNSC resolutions adopted recently on fighting terrorism.

The statement denounced Western silence on Turkey’s blatant disregard for the resolutions of the UN Security Council, stressing that silence represents a new proof on the existence of a Turkish – Western clear coordination to undermine the Syrian state and the Syrian pivotal role in the region.

The statement also expressed absolute confidence in the Syrian army and victory over the global war targeting Syria, expressing appreciation for the heroic sacrifices of the armed forces and the steadfastness mounted by the Syrian people.

Earlier, in two identical letters, the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry sent to the President of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General, stressing that the armed terrorist groups attacks that targeted Jesr al-Shoughour city and Ishtabraq town and before them Idleb, Kassab and Aleppo cities at the logistical support and thick gunshot of the Turkish army is, but a direct Turkish direct aggression against Syria, and clear evidence on the involvement of the Turkish government in supporting terrorism and attacking the sovereignty of a UN member state Organization.
