Syrians in Cuba, Slovakia Reiterate Stand with Homeland

HAVANA,(ST)_ Members of the Syrian community in Cuba expressed pride and loyalty to their homeland, Syria, which foiled the plot and the unprecedented  war, and turned it into a real victory for the Syrians.

During a meeting in the headquarters of the Syrian embassy in Havana with the Chargé d’affaires Dr. Louay Al Ouja, members of the community hailed the accomplishments of the Syrian army, who spared no sacrifices and continued to resist excommunicating terrorism on all fighting fronts in Syria, praising the sacrifices of the martyrs in defense of Syria’s unity and dignity.

“We recognize that Syrian expatriates have been throughout the crisis on the full adhesion to the concerns and issues of the country and expressed their deep national affiliation and gave all they can for defending Syria”,Dr. Al Ouja said, commending ” Syrian expatriates integrated role with their homeland, which survived for four years a global war in which conspiracy countries used all means to partition Syria and undermine its steadfastness.”

He pointed out that the most important outcome of the war, is maintaining national unity among the Syrians, constituting guiding light, and an example to be followed.

Meantime, Syrian students in Slovakia renewed standing up for their homeland against hostile conspiracies

In a statement marking the 69th Evacuation Day anniversary, yesterday, they stressed that this glorious event will remain a symbol of Syria’s struggle against occupation for independence and to protect its freedom, sovereignty and independent decision.

They voiced support for the reforms announced by President Bashar al-Assad, as a positive shift in the Syrian political and social life, renewing support for his leadership until ultimate victory over terrorists and conspirators and their supporters is achieved.

They considered that achieving national reconciliation and participation in Moscow’s Inter-Syrian consultative meeting to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria depends on fighting against terrorism as a basis of a good gesture that the other party must deal with seriously and alienate itself from bullying foreigners against Syria, its people and army.
