Syrians in Cairo Renewed pride in Army Victory against Terrorism

CAIRO, (ST)_ Syrian students and community in Egypt yesterday expressed pride in the victories achieved by the Syrian army and sacrifices against the terrorist war experienced by Syria.

This was expressed in a gathering held in collaboration with the National Union of Syrian Students NUSS, Egypt branch and representatives of the Syrian community, marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Syrian army.

Syrian charge de affaires in Cairo, Dr. Riad Sneih noted the glorious military victories achieved by the army brave officers and soldiers in defeating gangs of terror over the four and a half years, stressing that the Syrian leadership, people and army are fighting a war against terrorism, which aims to break up and divide the whole Arab nation.

In a speech on behalf of the Syrian community in Egypt, Ghaida al-Sayyaf commended the heroism of the Syrian army and the army chief, President Bashar al-Assad.

In a statement, the participants in the gathering stressed that history will record in its pages stories of Syria triumph, thanks to its Leader, army and people despite the conspiracy and conspirators hate and malice.

“Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Syrian army, we stand behind the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad vision and courage”, the statement said, asserting that members of the Syrian community in Egypt derive their pride from the Syrian army steadfastness and sacrifices.

In conclusion of the event, the participants extended greetings for the country’s martyrs wishing speedy recovery for the wounded of the Syrian army who sacrificed themselves for Syria’s honor and dignity.
