‘Syrians’ film depicts crisis in Syria

The ‘Syrians’ film directed by Basil al-Khatib was official screened Wednesday in Cinema City complex in Damascus in cooperation with the Syriatel Company.

It depicts the situation of Syrian person and his/her adherence to the homeland as well as their insistenceon liberating the homeland from obscurants and their followers in the region.

There is also a conflict between the forces of good and evil in the film, which talks about the Syrian soldiers’ determination to defeat terrorism.

The film produced by the National Cinema Organization is the last part of the three-part film series started with the ‘Mariam’ film and the ‘Mother’ film that deal with the Syrian woman in time of the war.

Director of the film said in a speech before the audiences that the way of dealing with ideas known to people was the big challenge he faced in his film.

While the famous actor RafiqSbe’ee, who plays a key role in the film, said that the Syrian cinema works now on showing films that mirror the reality. 

The famous actresses Mayson Abo As’aad and Karis Bashar play the role of the two women in the film.
