Syrians are looking forward to the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for the twenty-sixth of next month with determination. They will participate as a national duty and a sovereign right to choose the most appropriate candidate, register a new victory against terrorism and its supporters, and challenge the pressures imposed on their homeland, foremost of which is the economic blockade.
In Suwaida, days after nominations for the presidency began, many people in the province were looking forward to participating in this constitutional election, based on their duty towards their country and their desire to express their opinion by choosing the most appropriate candidate.
Adham Azkoul (a musician) said that participating in this event confirms the unity of Syrian people in achieving a political victory in addition to the military victories that our army has realized in confronting terrorism.
The locals highlighted their intention to participate in the elections as it is a national duty. They noted that the presidential elections constitute a message of challenge to all of the difficulties that Syria is exposed to, stressing the need to choose the most suitable person for the next stage. They affirmed that their participation is for the sake of the future of Syria, its reconstruction and improvement of its reality. Some citizens also asserted that participating in the presidential elections is a clear message to the enemies of Syria, that the Syrian people have managed to thwart the plots that targeted their unity and steadfastness.
They noted that our duty as Syrians is to reflect to the world the true and sound image that we live in Syria through the intense participation in the elections, no matter how the West tries to disrupt this.
In Lattakia, the citizens pointed out they will freely and responsibly exercise their electoral right guaranteed by the constitution, and would choose the appropriate candidate who will be able to fulfill the aspirations of citizens and face external challenges. They asserted that every citizen must participate in the elections to embody belonging to the homeland.
In Tartous, one of the locals underlined the need for every citizen to be aware of the dangers threatening Syria and to participate in the elections to send a strong message to everyone who is trying to target the Syrian state. Another citizen affirmed that, despite the conditions of the economic blockade, we must also show the world that the Syrian people are keen on their homeland and will participate in these elections.
In Aleppo, the citizens expressed their intention to participate in the presidential elections, as it is a national duty to choose the right candidate and contribute to building the country.
