Syrian women’s basketball team placed second in the Asian Cup Championship in Amman

AMMAN, Jun.30, (ST)- The Syrian women’s basketball team placed second in the Asian Cup Championship for the second level, after losing to the Samoa team with a score of 79-76 points in the final match that was held today in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The Philippines team ranked third after defeating the Lebanese team with a score of 90-68  points in the match to determine the third and fourth places.

Our team reached the final of the second level championship by defeating Lebanon 78-63 points in the semi-final match for which it qualified after defeating the Iranian team with a score of 59-46 points, while it opened the tournament by defeating Samoa with a score of 75-63 points before losing to the national team. The Filipino scored 86-93 points and beat Indonesia with a score of 75-74 points.
