Syrian Women in Aleppo Challenge Terrorism with Work, Creativity

ALEPPO, (ST)- “Aleppo Women…Steadfastness, Challenge and Creativity”, is the title of the 3rd Exhibition of Aleppo Businesswomen currently held at Aleppo Chamber of Industry.

The 4-day exhibition, which kicked off yesterday, is showcasing the products of 60 businesswomen including clothes, accessories, Aleppo food and sweets, traditional jewelries, cosmetics and handicrafts.

 The various exhibited products indicate how excelled, talented and inventive Syrian women in general and Aleppo women in particular are. The exhibits affirm the Syrian Businesswomen’s steadfastness in the face of the difficult circumstances resulted from the terrorist war on Syria and confirm their ability to challenge all the obstacles hindering their effective participation side by side with men in all walks of life.

On his part, Head of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry Fares al-Shehabi said that holding the third exhibition of Aleppo Businesswomen, despite terrorism and terrorist shelling, indicates the spirit of challenge of women in Aleppo and stresses that life continues in city.

“Even under the worst of times, our Syrian ladies in Aleppo today continue to challenge terrorism with their hard work and creativity,” al-Shehabi tweeted yesterday.

Member of the Board of Aleppo Industry Chamber, Head of the Businesswomen’s Committee, Alin Lahdo said the exhibition was an opportunity for direct contact between producers and consumers, noting that the exhibits, which are of good quality and competitive prices, aim to meet market needs.
