Syrian-Turkish Talks on Developing Technical and Technological Services

The Minister of Communications and Technology Abdul Salam Haikal discussed with the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and the Turkish Chargé d’Affaires in Damascus, Burhan Koroglu, ways to enhance technical and technological cooperation, particularly in the field of satellite internet services.

During the meeting held today at the ministry’s headquarters, both sides reviewed methods to improve the quality of internet services in Syria and expand them, especially in areas that suffer from weak connectivity, including infrastructure.

The discussions also addressed the requirements of the telecommunications sector to benefit from satellite internet services, in line with modern technological developments, ensuring easier access to digital services, and enhancing the digital transformation process in Syria, as well as the feasibility of introducing these services into the Syrian market.
