Syrian-Turkish talks on cooperation in the health field

During his meeting yesterday with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Turkish Embassy in Syria Burhan Koroglu, the Acting Minister of Health Maher Al-Sharaa discussed ways to enhance health cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides focused on the need to rehabilitate and restore health facilities, and provide Turkish educational grants targeting doctors and health workers.

Al-Sharaa noted the depth of relations between the two countries and the support provided by the Turkish side during the current period.

In turn, Oglu stressed the need to lift sanctions on Syria, which would contribute to improving the health sector in Syria.
