Syrian Taekwondo makes a strong mark in the Arab and Beirut Open Championship

The Syrian Taekwondo team excelled in the Beirut Open Championship, ranked by the World Taekwondo Federation as “G2”, and also excelled in the Arab Championship, whose competitions ended today in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
In the Beirut Open Championship, our team achieved seven different medals, three silver and four bronze, with the participation of 490 players from Asia, Europe and Africa.
Head of the Taekwondo Federation, Sharif Derki, explained that this achievement is very important for Syrian sports in general, and for Taekwondo in particular, and made an important addition at the Arab and international levels, pointing out that our national youth team ranked third in the general standings, noting at the same time the great support provided by the General Sports Federation and the Athletics Office.
