Amman, (ST) – Syrian table tennis player, Ebaa Hallaq, won gold medal in the Arab Championship, which is being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of 13 countries.
Hallaq won gold after winning the final match against Jordanian player Lana Haroun Shaltoni by 3-0.
This is Syria’s fourth medal in the Championship, as the Syrian women’s table tennis team won the gold medal after beating the Egyptian team 3-1 in the final match, and the silver medal after beating the Kuwaiti team 3-0.
The Syrian team will compete in the singles competition in the championship with players Obaidah Zaza in the men’s category, Aya Ali in the women’s category, Zaid Qatini and Obeida Zaza in the youth category, Inanna Kurdish, Aya Ali in the young women’s category, Ghaith Ghareeb and Zaid Qatini in the junior male’s category. Hind Zaza and Ibaa Hallaq, Ward Al-Damaksi and Abdullah Ajaj and Zaza’a Suleiman in the junior female’s category.
