Syrian students win the first 3 places in mental arithmetic competition in European Championship

ALEPPO, (ST)_  Three students out of nine  from the school of “Madenet Al-Elm” in Aleppo have obtained the first three places in the open European Championship  of Mental Arithmetic , which was held online in the middle of this month in Germany under the auspices of the International Soroban Union. 
 
355 students from 15 foreign countries and 5 Arab countries took part in the competition of mental arithmetic . 
 
Mental arithmetic  improves scientific skills of students and enhances their self-confidence. 
 
Student Masa Haj Mohammad expressed her happiness at coming in first place for the second time in row in mental arithmetic .
