Syrian students in Slovakia vow to be the soldiers who defend their homeland through knowledge, academic excellence

Syrian students in the Slovak universities and institutes have reaffirmed their support for their homeland in the confrontation of the terrorist and economic war, reiterating that the homeland and the blood of the martyrs will continue to be the beacon from which they derive a strong resolve to continue with their academic excellence.

In a statement marking the 72nd Anniversary of the Syrian Arab Student Day, the branch of National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) in Slovakia expressed pride in the students’ struggle whose foundation was laid by late President Hafez Al-Assad through establishing the NUSS that cares about the students’ aspirations and issues.

The statement stressed the importance of the 1st Syrian Students Conference which formed the base for the Syrian students’ struggle movement, given that the students consider themselves as soldiers who defend their homeland through science, knowledge, research and academic excellence.

The Syrian students also asserted their support for the Russian people in their battle to defend Donbass population and to uproot Nazism and intolerance from Ukraine and protect the Russian national security against any NATO expansion.
