Syrian students in Slovakia: The Syrians’ wide participation in presidential elections indicates their strong national belongingness

The Syrian students in Slovakia affirmed that  holding presidential elections in Syria on due time and the Syrians’ wide participation in this process is clear-cut evidence of the Syrians’ strong national belongingness, their adherence to Syria’s sovereignty and independent decision and their rejection of all forms of foreign interference.

In a statement issued by the Slovakia branch of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS), the students said that “Syria, with the strong determination of its people, army and leadership, is drawing up the features of a new stage titled victory, work and reconstruction.”

They pointed out that the wide participation in voting has sent a strong message to the entire world that the Syrians are adherent to their country and its national causes, stressing that this electoral process culminates Syria’s victories over terrorism and its supporters.

 The students renewed their pledge to continue supporting their homeland, army and leadership in the battle against terrorism, extremism and foreign schemes.
