Syrian Students in Slovakia Call on World Trade Unions to Support Syrian People in Fighting Terrorism

On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, Syrian students in Slovakia have called on countries supporting terrorism to stop their support for terrorist groups and to lift unilateral economic measures adopted against Syrian people.

The students said in a statement released Sunday that world and Arab Trade Unions must adopt suitable measures to support Syrian people in their war against terrorism.

They pointed out that Syrian workers play key role in enhancing Syria’s steadfastness and confronting foreign intervention in their countries’ internal affairs.

 “Workers are the cornerstone of national action and they back the process of reconstruction and development,” the students said, expressing their pride at Syrian workers’ steadfastness and their continuous work despite circumstance Syria is going through.

In Szolnok city in Hungary, the Syrian expatriate Dr. Monzer Fatemi held Saturday a celebration on the occasion of Syria’s Independence Day and Syrian Arab army’s victories against foreign-backed terrorist groups in Syria.

The expatriate said during the celebration that some Arab regimes have conspired against Syria, expressing his pride in Syria Arab army’s victories against terrorist organizations.

On his part Chairman of the Forum for Syria Dr. Tareq Mayaleh said that Syria faces the fiercest attack in history that seeks to destroy peace and co-existence in the country.

“Conspirators will never achieve their goal thanks to steadfastness of Syrian people and army,” he stressed.

Since 2011, a foreign-backed terror war has been waged against Syria targeting its people, army, civilization and infrastructures in accordance with US-Zionist plot that aims to fragment the region and to have hegemony over it.

The United States, France, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan and Israel have been providing support for terrorist organizations operating in Syria by all means.
