Syrian students in Russia reiterate their support for their country’s war on terrorism

Syrian students in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States reaffirmed their support for their country’s war on international terrorism and vowed to participate in Syria’s reconstruction process.

During a meeting held by the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) branch in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States in Moscow on Sunday, the students noted the assistance provided to them by the Syrian Embassy in Moscow to facilitate their study, particularly in the light of the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

The Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad said that the embassy in cooperation with the NUSS branch has spared no effort to help the students complete their study and scientific research, urging the students to accomplish their academic achievement and return to the homeland to take part in rebuilding what the terrorist war has destroyed.

“Syria is currently experiencing an unfair western economic blockade and unilateral coercive measures after it has suffered for years from a heinous international terrorist war, during which and Syrian factories, agricultural products as well as oil and natural resources were stolen, especially by the United States,” Haddad said.
