Syrian Students in Lebanon: Commitment to Homeland Issues, Sovereignty

BEIRUT, (ST)_ During the General Conference of Lebanon branch of the National Union of Syrian Students MUSS, which was held yesterday in Beirut, Syrian students in Lebanon stressed their militant role under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, expressing commitment to homeland issues and defending its territory in light of the risks experienced under external projects and conspiracy.

In a speech during the conference, Syria’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim noted that Syria’s steadfastness, efficient army and wise leadership will achieve evident victory over the terrorist war.

“Throughout history, no country has been exposed to such fierce war of aggression in which media, political money, incitement, distorting facts and hired international and regional intelligence have been used,” ambassador Abdul Karim said.

Ambassador Abdul Karim underlined the importance of the victories achieved by the Syrian army and resistance in Kalamoon battle, pointing out that Syria’s victory in Kalamoon battle is of great importance that worried “Israel” and its allies after the Syrian army and the resistance forces controlled the main highlands and joints in Kalamoon areas.

A new leadership for the Union branch in Lebanon was elected, headed by Ahmed Abdul Salam, Meri, representing Syrian students in various Lebanese universities.

The conference was attended by head of the Office of NUSS Foreign branches Bassem Soudan, representatives of the Lebanese and Palestinian youth and student organizations and a large crowd of Syrian students in the Lebanese universities.
