Syrian Students in India and Cuba affirm determination to take part in the reconstruction and development of their country
The branch of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) in India in cooperation with the Syrian Embassy in New Delhi held a celebration marking the 74th Anniversary of the Syrian Student Day.
Head of India branch of the NUSS Samer Salameh affirmed the determination of the Syrian students to complete their academic achievement as to return to their homeland, Syria, after being supplied with the knowledge and expertise necessary for building and developing their country.
For his part, the Syrian Ambassador to India Bassam Al-Khatieb noted the great interest accorded by President Bashar Al-Assad to students’ issues, stressing the importance of the newly issued law on organizing the work of the National Union of Syrian Students. The ambassador also affirmed the key role of the NUSS in cooperating with the embassy with the aim of following up on students’ issues.
In their statement, the students studying in India renewed their pledge of loyalty to their homeland, army and leader.
Moreover, The Syrians studying in the Cuban Universities have reaffirmed their support for their homeland, army and leadership.
Marking the 74th Anniversary of the Syrian Student Day, the Syrian students in Cuba, stressed that the terrorist war and acts of aggression that have been facing Syria require from all students to exert the utmost efforts to continue their excellence and complete their academic achievement as to reflect the bright image of their country abroad. They vowed to be the best ambassadors to their country in all fields.
The students reiterated their determination to work and study hard as to complete their academic achievement and get the knowledge and expertise needed to rebuild Syria and reconstruct what terrorism has destroyed.
In the same context, the People’s Assembly congratulated the Syrian students on their Day.
Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh and the MPs sent a message of congratulations to the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) on the 74th anniversary of the Syrian Arab Student Day.
Sabbagh affirmed the important efforts being exerted by the NUSS inside Syria and abroad to support the Syrian student’s excellence, and process of seeking knowledge and science, stressing the students’ high sense of responsibility towards their homeland.
The First Constituent Conference of Syrian Students was held on March 30th, 1950 in Lattakia and it constituted the base for the Syrian student movement and constructive national work based on firm democratic basis.
