Syrian students in Cuba voice support for their homeland

Syrian students studying in Cuban universities renewed their support for  their motherland, Syria, the people, the army, and the leadership in the face of the ongoing aggression against it, noting the steadfastness of the Syrian army and people in the face of global terrorism.

This came during a solidarity event organized by the University of Havana and the Cuban Student Union in the Mariana Carrahales Park in the capital, Havana, on the occasion of the celebrations held by Cuba at the end of the year, which coincides with International Human Rights Day.

During this event, the students denounced the unilateral, illegal and unjust coercive measures imposed by the United States of America and Western countries against Syria, stressing that these measures are gross violations of human rights and hinder the Syrian government’s efforts to confront the Corona epidemic.

The students held signs calling for the lifting of unjust measures against their homeland, Syria.

During the event, the National Union of Syrian Students- the Cuban branch, also set up a pavilion for Syria that included a set of pictures, magazines and heritage materials to showcase the civilization and history of Syria, in addition to presenting a number of materials that show the steadfastness of the people and the brave Syrian Arab Army in the face of terrorism and the economic war waged against it.

At the end of the event, the Cuban Student Union praised the important Syrian participation in these activities to reflect the true picture of the events in Syria, expressing its thanks to the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in Cuba for its successful work and continuous participation in the activities held by Cuban universities.
