Syrian students in Cuba hold farewell ceremony honoring Ambassador Idris Mayya

The Syrian community and students in Cuba held a farewell ceremony for the Syrian Ambassador to Cuba Idris Mayya on the occasion of ending his term of office in the country.

The ceremony was held in recognition of Mr. Mayya’s efforts to enhance the Syrian-Cuban relations and in appreciation of his relentless work that aimed at caring about the Syrian community’s issues.

The Syrian community and students renewed their support for their homeland in its war on terrorism, stressing their confidence in the wise leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad and the efforts of the Syrian Army to enable Syria emerge from this terrorist war victorious.

 On his part, Mayya affirmed that members of the Syrian community are best ambassadors of their country abroad, pointing out that the Syrian students should accord great interest to their educations in order to enrich their knowledge, boost their academic achievement and gain new skills that serve building their homeland.
