Syrian students, community in Cuba renewed Support for people and army against Conspiracy

HAVANA,(ST)_ Syrians students in Cuban universities and the Syrian community in Cuba stressed that since its inception in 1947, the Baath Party devoted its struggle and efforts to unify Arab ranks, foiled all colonization projects and conspiracies and conducted structural and radical changes in the Syrian society to achieve social justice.

In a statement on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Baath Party foundation, Syrian students and community in Cuba vowed their support for the party, led by its Regional Secretary President Bashar al-Assad and for their people and army in order to foil the plot exposed on Syria and to challenge aggression, terrorism and extremist groups,, vowing to continue learning and improve performance so as to contribute to the reconstruction of the homeland.

They announced rejection of all forms of foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs and the unjust sanctions imposed on the Syrian people, stressing that the Syrian people are the only side to determine all issues pertinent to the Syrian policy.

They also stressed “absolute support for their motherland Syria and its wise leadership to find an inter- Syrian political solution to the crisis to ensure Syria’s land and people unity,respect Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity and maintains the Syrian state institutions, especially the Syrian army, and also ensures fighting terrorism at various levels. “

“One who seeks a political solution should not support, fund and arm terrorist organizations, in contravention of all the values and principles of international relations and the UN Charter, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions,” the statement read.

At the end of their statement, the Syrian students and community in Cuba expressed thanks and gratitude for the Russian leadership and people over their undertaken efforts and initiatives the order to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria that ensures its stability and security.
