Syrian Student Granted International Certificate over Contribution to Global Citizenship

NEW Delhi, (ST) _ The World Council of Schools has granted Syrian student Alissar Awad, studying in India, the International Certificate in recognition of her contribution to the promotion of global citizenship and the development of international awareness in society.

Director of the British School in India Dr. Nicholas Urgent, presented the international certificate of appreciation to the Syrian student Alissar, during a graduation ceremony, held yesterday, for the school students.

For its part, the World Council of Schools sent a message to Alissar expressing pride over her services to increase international awareness in the community and her contribution to the development of the concept of global awareness.

Worthy mentioning that the Syrian student Alissar studied at the British School in India, assumed the presidency of the students council and contributed to the rapprochement and understanding among students of the school, which includes more than 65 foreign and Indian students.
