NEW Delhi, (ST)-The Syrian stand at the International Charity Bazaar, being held in the India Capital New Delhi, has attracted a lot of visitors who came to buy high quality Syrian handicrafts and taste the delicious food of the Syrian cuisine.
The Syrian Embassy in India and the Syrian community there take part in this annual bazaar whose proceeds go to the charity activities supervised by the Commonwealth Women’s League in New Delhi.
There at the bazaar, tourist publications reflecting the deep Syrian civilization were distributed to the visitors and pictures showing the Syrian historical and archeological places decorated the walls of the stand.
The bazaar attracts almost 100.000 visitors every year and it captures the interest of the Indian and international media. Many Arab and foreign embassies are taking part in this event.
Syria has been participating in the annual bazaar for two decades. Syrian products are sold to serve charity purposes.
