Syrian-Russian talks to boost economic cooperation

Dubai (ST): The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil, discussed with Alexei Grozdev, the Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade in Dubai aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the economic fields.

 

During the meeting, which came on the sidelines of the Expo 2020 Dubai, emphasis was placed on continuing to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two countries and accelerating the measures taken by both sides with the aim of facilitating and enhancing this cooperation, in addition to the issue of customs exemptions for Syrian goods. The meeting also dealt with the continuous desire of Russian companies to invest in Syria, especially with the increase in the percentage of exemptions and facilities in the existing cooperation between the two sides and with the issuance of the new Syrian investment law, which provides an important and stimulating package of advantages and guarantees.
