MOSCOW, (ST)- The Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Riad Haddad has stressed that Russia’s support for Syria, as a state and people, in the war on terrorism expresses the strong and deep rooted relations between the peoples and leaderships of the two countries based on cooperation solidarity among peoples and the non interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
In a statement during the conference held yesterday by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Committee for Solidarity and Cooperation with the Peoples of Asia and Africa, Haddad said Russia in cooperation with the Syrian government is effectively contributing to fighting terrorism in Syria and it will continue this support in a way that reflects positively on the security and stability of the region and the world.
The Syrian diplomat added that Russia has proved that it is a state that depends in its foreign relations on the principles of the international law and good neighborhood relations, thereby having distinguished position among the world peoples who touched the big difference between Russia’s behavior, which seeks perpetuating international law and the principle of respecting countries’ sovereignty and independent national decision and that of influential western countries that seek hegemony, occupation and stealing people’s resources.
