Syrian-Russian cooperation talks in the field of caring for people with disabilities

Damascus (ST): Representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection discussed, in a meeting held today via video technology, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of caring for persons with disabilities and the creation of a workshop for the manufacture of prosthetic limbs.

 

The two sides agreed, as explained by the Director of Planning and International Cooperation in the ministry, Mahmoud Al-Kawa,  on joint coordination to determine the list of needs to support social welfare centers in Syria and to benefit from the Russian experience in the field of caring for persons with disabilities, and to cooperate in the field of training, capacity building and the possibilities of establishing a joint project for the manufacture of artificial limbs.
