Syrian Railways announces two additional trips between Tartous and Latakia

Damascus, (ST) – The Ministry of Transport announced that two additional trips of train services will operate between the governorates of Tartous and Latakia, in addition to the current trips.

The ministry said in a statement, which SANA received a copy of, that this came to facilitate the movement of university students and citizens.

According to the ministry’s statement, the first trip will depart from Tartous station at 6:15 in the morning and the second from Lattakia station at 2:30 in the afternoon. Each train accommodates 283 passengers and is technically and equipped to ensure comfortable travel.

The statement indicated that ticket prices will be 250 Syrian pounds for citizens and 200 Syrian pounds for students and veterans, with a 50 percent reduction granted to martyrs’ families and for the elderly.
