Syrian-Qatari cooperation to support Syrian women’s issues

Head of the Women’s Affairs Office in Syria Aisha Al-Dibs met on Tuesday with the Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam Al-Misnad in the Qatari capital, Doha.

In a statement to SANA, Al-Dibs said that talks dealt with cooperation in supporting women who survived detention. The talks focused on the economic and psychological empowerment initiatives targeting these women, and on Syrian women’s concerns, their suffering and ways to support women and enhance their role and status in society, she added.

Al-Dibs noted that Syrian women play a pivotal role in making Syria’s future and building the hoped-for new Syria.
