Syrian President in a message of condolence to the leader of Iranian Islamic Revolution, the government and the Iranian people: We express deep regret and sympathy for this painful incident and great loss.

President Bashar Al Assad offered his and the  Syrian Arab people’s  heartfelt condolences to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution and to the friendly Iranian people and government on the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and the rest of the members of the delegation accompanying them.

In his message, President Al-Assad affirmed Syria’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and with the families of the late deceased and his comrades, expressing deep regret over this painful incident and the great loss that resulted from it.

President al-Assad said that President Raisi’s dedication to his work and performance of his responsibilities brought him to East Azerbaijan Province to inaugurate a vital project for his country, making him a martyr in the redemption of duty.

He added: “We worked with the late President to ensure that the strategic relations between Syria and Iran will always  remain prosperous , and we will always remember his visit to Syria as an important milestone in this path, and all the visions and ideas that he presented to enrich relations with what   benefits the Syrian and Iranian peoples”.
