“Syrian Political Family” Consultative Meeting in Latttakia Discusses Means to Find Way out of Crisis
LATTAKIA- Means to find a way out of the crisis in Syria was the focus of the first Consultative meeting of the “Syrian Political Family” convened in Lattakia on Saturday by the Lattakia Secretariat for National Principles.
Eleven political parties and a number of national personalities are taking part in the two-day meeting.
Ali Haidar, Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs, called at the opening ceremony for coming out with formulas that contribute to solving the ongoing crisis which has been badly affecting the Syrian citizens’ life.
He stressed that consultative meetings are basics for political solution in Syria. “Such meetings should be encouraged and supported based on the fact that the solution is a Syrian-Syrian par excellence.
“Geneva II Conference is the means to attain a solution to the crisis in Syria,” the minister said, stressing that “national dialogues help attain Syrian victory by putting forward solutions to several unresolved issues.
Lattakia Secretariat for National Principles is one of the Syrian civil society Institutions that support other establishments of the state under the ongoing crisis.
For his part, the Secretariat’s Board Chairman Husamuddin Khulasi, said that it is important to enhance national principles and partnership between all intellectual categories of society away from extremism, adding that “the Secretariat is a partner in the making of national decision and is trying to reach out both the government and the opposition.”
The consultative meeting included dialogue sessions between the participating national parties on the causes of the crisis in Syria and the dimensions of the conspiracy hatched against the country. Suggestions to find a way out of the crisis were also put forward.
The participants affirmed that the crisis is an imperialist colonialist scheme targeting the entire region with Syria at the top. They called for implementing mechanisms that enable the Syrians get out of the crisis.
Today, the consultative meeting is discussing future visions on and prospects of national action to build a new and better Syria.
