Syrian Poet Faraj Al Hussein ranked third in a Nabati poetry competition in Abu Dhabi

Poet Faraj Al-Hussein, from Al-Hasakah Governorate, won the third place in a competition for Nabati Bedouin poetry held in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, through his participation in a poem entitled “Bint Al-Bawadi”.

Al-Hussein, who competed with 1212 poets from 19 Arab countries, described his participation in the competition as a challenge because most of the participants are poets from the Gulf countries who master this Bedouin literary genre, so the competition was intense.

According to Al-Hussein, this competition came as part of the activities of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, pointing out that this triumph adds literary and advertising credit to him, as the competition is attended by most of the poets of the Arab world.

Al-Hussein won two prizes last year, the first in the Aqour Literary Competition in Al-Hasakah Governorate, and the second in the Human Rhyme Competition for Eloquent Arabic Poetry in the State of Kuwait.
