He is one of the Kweris airbase’s heroes , who has lost his right leg during a legend of steadfastness and used the left one to crush the ISIS terrorists that had sieged the airbase in Aleppo countryside for three years.
His belief in the ideology of the Syrian Arab army based on protecting sovereignty and dignity of the homeland was the motivation for achieving victory over the terrorists.
The pilot Adham Abo Kheir, told the local al-Thawra newspaper on Tuesday that the heroes of Kweris airbase turned into lions on the ground. ‘We had sustained repeated attacks launched by ISIS terrorists, who used car bombs, tanks and heavy machine guns. But we remained steadfast. We shared concerns, bread, medicine and sadness over our comrades, who martyred in the airbase.”
“I saw one of the heroes of our army pursuing an ISIS car bomb and destroying it before reaching his comrades ,” the colonel said, adding that his right leg was seriously wounded in an explosion of a tank bomb entered the airbase heading towards a building where they were gathering.
“I was conveyed to the medical point inside the airbase where the doctor cut my leg and followed up my situation for 83 days despite the difficult circumstances ,” he said.
The colonel stressed that the only end for the Kweris heroes was either victory or martyrdom.
The airbase of Kweris , which is located about 35km east of Aleppo city, was recaptured by Syrian army on November 10, and it is now a Launchpad for recapturing all surrounding areas.
On November 22, there were popular receptions with official participation for number of members of Kweris airbase in Tartous and Sweida provinces.
The freed soldiers were saluted by President Bashar al-Assad, who offered condolences on all martyrs during a phone conversation with the commander of the airbase, Major General Monzer Zammam and the leader of the military force that broke the ISIS siege of the airbase, Colonel Suhail al-Hassan on November 10.
The Syrian Arab army is fighting terrorist groups, including ISIS [Daesh] and al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra], that receive all forms of support from the U.S., France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel in order to fragment Syria for the interest of Israel.
